Dive into real civic challenges from the City of Portland. Collaborate in multidisciplinary work groups, generate bold ideas, and begin shaping concepts that could meaningfully improve how Portland operates and serves its communities.

***Advancing Civic Innovation for Portland***
A first-of-its-kind collaboration bringing together Portland’s civic leaders and technology community. The City of Portland, Oregon State University, Technology Association of Oregon, AI Portland, Code PDX, and the UpStart Collective are bringing a collaborative, action-oriented effort to explore how emerging technologies can strengthen public services and improve outcomes for Portlanders.

Together, we can tackle challenges that no single organization could solve alone.

The City of Portland is bringing real, pressing civic challenges to the table — and we’re inviting Portland’s builders, designers, researchers, and problem-solvers to roll up their sleeves and get to work. In small, focused work groups, participants will ideate, explore, and imagine how AI can make city services faster, fairer, and more effective for everyone.
